Jews do it better.

*Note to reader: So sorry to have left you hanging for so long. I have so many stories to tell, but with work, climbing, best friends demanding my time and Greek gods wanting me... I just haven't had time to write. Anyhoooo... It's been crazy recently, and there have been lots of fun party times, including new year's eve...

I have decided to kinda rush through the re-telling of New Years Eve 2010. As entertaining as it was, I have such foggy memories at this point, is seems like a silly thing to try to rack my brain for details about the night. I will, however, give you some key points. It's like cliffs notes for drunks!

After a hard climb on the 31st, I headed home to shower before going to the Mission to hang with Estie and Owen. It was about 7 pm when we started pounding champagne, and by 10, her apartment was full of people and I was sloshed. Owen was a fabulous date, and made sure I had met everyone. All of the names now escape me, but I'm sure that they were all lovely people.
Long story short: I was the "token straight girl" at this shindig.
I had a blast, and was blasted. Imagine that. Ha.
At midnight, we all stuffed 12 grapes in our mouthes in an effort to honor Sergio's request that we observe the Spanish tradition of eating said grapes extremely fast at 12 to make sure we have good luck in the upcoming year.

If you know me even a little, clearly I failed. I got through about 4 before I realized that I would rather be drinking, and that if I consumed any more grapes, I might get a bad tummy. It is a charming tradition, though, don't you think?

In addition to grape-eating and popping bottles, I was lucky enough to have a special moment on the roof of the building with 3 of my faves where we exchanged vagina stories. That is, 2 of them talked about their very limited sexual encounters with women, and I talked about, well, you get it...

So this weekend, I decided to go big or go home. That means Jew night. On the second Saturday of each month, Jews from all over the Bay gather at the Cellar for a fantastic $10 for 5 cocktails from 8-10 pm. There are guest bartenders, and I love to serve drinks.

Ah, Jews. How I adore my people so... The selection of people was really amazing. I love a good Jewfest, especially with Shira and/or Noah in tow. This time, I was lucky enough to get both! So fun, I love it. Long story short, the organizer put me, Danny, Noah and Shira on the same bartending shift, which we told her was a bad idea. I swear, during that time, almost no one got drinks. I was very busy snapping photos and making friends. It was a really good time, I must admit. We were all totally shit-faced by 9 pm, and after the event, headed out to the Marina to hit some bars. I don't really remember what happened after that, but I'm sure it was a lot of fun!

We took it easy on Sunday, went out to breakfast and relaxed at the house. On Monday, Shira and I went shopping downtown, and hit up Taylor's at the Ferry Building for bomb sweet potato fries and then headed to Cheesecake Factory for their LEGENDARY Bellinis. The Bellini is truly an art form. To simply add Peach juice to Champagne is hardly a cocktail. Cheesecake really does it right. Fresh peach puree, Prosecco, and ice, all blended into a magical frosty drink that actually tastes a little like heaven... Try one, you won't be sorry.

On Tuesday, we all went to Blue Light for Taco Tuesday. Loves it. Before we even left the house, Shira, Precious and I killed 2 bottles of champagne. Let's be honest though. I cashed one to my face... Oops! We brought our new roommate, Nick. He's pretty chill. We like him a lot. So he rolled into the bar with 3 bitches, all dressed to kill, and we owned the place. I think.

*Shitty BlackBerry photo taken by Precious while pre-gaming. I forgot my cam, but I thought you all deserved to see just how good the outfit was. Ugh, so good, I really need to wear this every day.

We got drinks, danced a little, worked the room, and decided to head across the street to Bar None to play some beer pong, aka talk to boys. On my way out I heard someone call my name. To be honest, I would have hollared at me too! I looked goooooooooood, ok. It was Officer Jones, who I went to high school with and is now SFPD. Ha. I bumped into him about 2 years ago, he was in uniform and I was drunk in public. Awesome. We went out a couple of times, but it never really went anywhere... Anyways, he came over to Bar None with us and we were all so drunk at that point, that I don't really know what kind of scene we made there, but I'm sure it was epic. By the time we got home, we were all ready to get out of our shoes and devour Nizzario's pizza slices. I got pesto, thanks for asking.

It was a great time, loved having Shira in town, and can't wait for the next go-round.

This weekend should be pretty good. Jeanne's back in town for a while, and I'm ready to hit up the Mission and make fun of some hipsters... Until then. Love you long time. Xo
